The Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center (324 Pine Street) is holding auditions for 1776 on August 8 and 9 at 7 pm.
1776 is an inspiring and imaginative re-creation of the momentous days from May 8th to July 4th in Philadelphia when the second Continental Congress argued about, voted on, and signed the Declaration of Independence. The individual characters of the delegates are drawn strictly from what they and their contemporaries told us.
The cast of the musical consist of 27 men and 2 women. Please bring a prepared song to the auditions. The performance dates are October 8-10, 15-17.

The Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center is holding auditions for Little Shop of Horrors on August 30 at 7 pm at the Heritage Museum, 100 Beekman Lane, Tarpon Springs. Needed are 10 cast members, both men and women, and a puppeteer for the role of Audrey II.
Characters are Seymour, the nerdy floral assistant who discovers his exotic plant has a taste for blood; Audrey, the secret love of Seymour’s life; Mr. Mushnik, Seymour’s boss; the young hip singers, Crystal, Ronette and Chiffon; Orin, the dentist; Audrey II (various ages and sizes); and the Voice of Audrey II.
Actors are needed that can sing 1950s style music and dance. Auditoners should come prepared with a song, sheet music and wear comfortable clothes for dance auditions.
Performance dates are November 6, 7, 13, 14, 2010 at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center.
