The Tamburitzans

Back by Popular Demand – High energy, spellbinding American Folk Ensemble

Tarpon Arts is excited to welcome back the multi-talented Tamburitzans! Named after the stringed folk instrument, the tambura or tamburitza, these dedicated students have expanded their repertoire throughout the past seven decades to include a wide variety of folk dance and music representing Eastern Europe and neighboring cultures. The Tamburitzans will dazzle you with their elaborate costumes and you’ll enjoy these versatile musicians, singers, and dancers (who are also full-time students) as they continue the Tamburitzans’ legacy bringing eastern European folklore to the modern stage.
