Tarpon Talks – First Dive Presented by Nicholas Toth

First Dive will explore some of the pivotal points of sponge diving history, from the first sponge divers of ancient times to the introduction of mechanized diving and its arrival here in Tarpon Springs. Also featured in this presentation will be a display of historic sponge diving helmets, including helmets made by the three helmet makers of Tarpon Springs, Antonios Avgerinos, Anthony Lerios, and Nicholas Toth.
