The City of Tarpon Springs’ Cultural and Civic Services Department is proud to unveil a new, free community event called The Art of Health set to debut Saturday, November 7, 2020, 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM in Craig Park, 5 Beekman Lane, Tarpon Springs, 34689. The event will highlight the unique ways the arts impact an individual’s health and wellbeing. From a veteran’s PTSD to a student’s academic achievements to the positive effect of dance on those with autism or Parkinson’s disease to the burden of stress which adversely impacts people of all ages – the arts have played an important, positive role. This event will educate and celebrate it. The inaugural event is co-presented by Tarpon Arts, AdventHealth North Pinellas and Peace4Tarpon.


A Sampling of The Art of Health Activities located throughout Craig Park:

The Craig Park band shell will feature multiple 45-minute sets of live musical entertainment from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Inside the Heritage Museum

  • ¬†Scheduled 20-minute talks by a variety of esteemed speakers in the arts and healthcare fields.

  • ¬†Exhibitor tables featuring the arts, health, and well-being products and services.

Inside Craig Park’s Recreation Building

  • Children’s artsy activities hosted by the City of Tarpon Springs Recreation Department and the Tarpon Springs Public Library.

Multiple food trucks offering a variety of cuisine for purchase.

An adult arts tent hosted by the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art.

Tai Chi, Yoga, Dance – exhibitions and participation sessions, plus so much more!


“Countless news articles report that participation in the arts and/or simply enjoying the arts with our senses have a profound, positive influence on our emotions, state of mind and stress levels,” remarks Diane Wood, Director of Tarpon Arts. “This event is designed to bring people together to experience the arts with a new perspective and demonstrate how it enhances our health and wellbeing as individuals, families, and as a community.”
