The Last 5 Years (One Act Version)

Tarpon Arts and Tarpon Springs Highschool Theatre Department are teaming up to present a special one act version of The Last 5 Years at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center.

This award-winning student production earned top honors at the District Thespian Competition and will serve as a showcase performance as the cast prepares for the State Thespian Championship. Audiences are invited to experience this intimate, emotionally charged musical in a focused one-act format that highlights the depth, artistry, and maturity of these student storytellers.

The Last Five Years is an intimate, two-person musical that explores the rise and fall of a five-year relationship between novelist Jamie and actress Cathy. The story unfolds through intersecting timelines: Jamie tells the story from beginning to end, while Cathy moves in reverse, from heartbreak back to first love. As their journeys briefly meet at the midpoint, the show delivers a raw, emotionally honest portrait of love, ambition, and missed connections.
